Lisa: Life is funny. When Sophie was born, I spent the first 8 months worrying about how I would deal with her genetic disorder. It was all about me, me, me…my fears, my worries, my sleepless nights, etc. A big part of our journey with Sophie has been my belief that a change can occur.
Just brainstorming here, but these are some of the things that Sophie was taught to do at a relatively early age.
-Cook independently on a gas stove top
-Use a butcher knife to prepare food
-Operate the washer and dryer
-Make coffee for her grandmother
