Lisa: Hello all! A few years ago, John initiated a very bad tradition of buying super-thick chocolate “milkshakes” from that well-known fast food chain with whom we are all too familiar! Even worse, he lured Sophie into participating in this ritual! Grrr….Well, no more! Sophie and I have discovered our own healthier version of this popular drink. In our household, every smoothie recipe begins with a ripe, frozen banana. As the frugal shopper that I am, I’m excited to report that, since I began freezing ripe bananas (peel them first!), I’ve not thrown away a rotten one in several years! Take it away, Sophie!
Sophie: Ok Mom. Here is our recipe.
1 frozen banana
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon natural peanut butter
1 cup almond milk
Blend in blender until smooth. Goodbye folks!
